The Cutting Edge is a licensed, professional salon, located between Pickens and Easley, SC. It was established in 1995 and is owned by Ayme Howard, who has twenty-six years of experience in hair. The salon is open from 8:30 - 5:00 M-F, but appointments after 5:00 are gladly accepted. Walk-ins are also welcome.
The Cutting Edge Salon offers anything from waxing, to facials, to the highest quality of Keratin treatments and chemical services, foiling, balayage, manicures, and so much more.
Ayme also carries a variety of product lines for you to keep your hair at its best - Keratin, Amika, IGK, Verb, Leaf + Flower, Pureology, Kenra, Lanza, Deva Curl, Redken, Sexy Hair, Matrix - just to name a few.

Ayme Howard
Ayme joined The Cutting Edge Salon in November of 1997, six months after graduating high school, earning her cosmetology license at the Career Center.
In February of 2009, she became the owner of The Cutting Edge, transforming her childhood dreams into reality.
She encourages her salon team to stay true to their work, always stay humble and know their worth.
Specializing in taking care of clients, from razor cuts to custom coloring services, letting her take the reins to do what would look best on you is what she values the most.
When Ayme isn't behind the chair, with a coffee on her color cart, she is either piled up with her furbabies and family, traveling, or working on someone's trip.
Of all the different hats she wears, her favorite is being a wife to Jeff and a mom to Peyton and Malorie.

Gail Raines
Gail started her cosmetology career in 1988.
In 1997, she became part of The Cutting Edge Salon team.
She is married with one son.
Gail is not only very patient, but she takes her time making her clients feel good about themselves. In her free time, she's out shopping for a bargain or loving on all of her cats that she adores.

Allie Jourdain
Allie has been a stylist at The Cutting Edge Salon for 10 years. She loves to make connections with each client, while helping them achieve their dream hair goals! Her specialties include balayage, hand tied extensions, and bridal hair and makeup. Allie is rarely found without a coffee in hand at work. In her free time, she enjoys church activities, hanging with friends and family, and making memories with her sweet baby girl, Jerzie!

Morgan Davis
Morgan is a nail technician at The Cutting Edge Salon. She has been solely doing nails since 2010.
Morgan is happily married to her husband, Stephen.
Morgan is a kidney transplant recipient and is blessed to be able to have a second chance at life.
Morgan's favorite part about doing nails is being able to pamper her clients and make them feel good. She is thankful for the special relationship she shares with each and every one of them.
In her spare time, she loves to make memories with her family - especially her niece and nephew, go thrifting, and visit plant stores. She loves visiting the beach and mountains, and having fun!

Jacie Dennis
Jacie is a fully licensed cosmetologist! She has been doing hair for almost two years. She loves all things hair and is so excited for the amazing journey of the full service industry. She is planning to get her lash tech certification very soon, but in the meantime, she is certified in Japanese scalp/head spa treatments.

Lori Holcombe
Lori began her career in 2006 and became an assistant to a Master Stylist upon graduating cosmetology school. In 2008 she started her career as an independent booth renter, and joined The Cutting Edge in 2024. Lori specializes in customized color and cuts, believing every client deserves individualized services specific to their needs. When she is not at the salon, you will find her with her family, volunteering at her children's school, or in her garden listening to an audiobook.
Lori IS ONLY accepting new clients with limited availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-1:00.

Malorie Howard
Malorie was literally born into The Cutting Edge Salon family. Daughter to Ayme, she has been the full time receptionist since 2020.
From scheduling appointments and answering phone calls, to entertaining children while their mom gets pampered and making coffee runs - she does it all!
When Mal has free time, between the salon and classes earning her nursing degree, she can be found napping with her Golden Doodle, Maverick.
